Who We Are
Special Ops Xcursions was formed by Green Berets from 1stSFG(A) & 5thSFG(A) and a group of civilian friends in 2012 at their hunting club in Tennessee. They were looking for a way to share their love of the outdoors with others and to offer SOF Warriors a chance to relax in nature with their team or family. The first group of Soldiers arrived in September 2013 for their annual club dove hunt. The overwhelming success of that first excursion quickly rippled into numerous events providing all types of outdoor activities. Hunting for ducks, geese, turkey, dove, & small game. Skeet & sporting clays shoots. Fishing for crappie, bluegill, catfish, bass, and on the fly. Kids camps. Family retreats. Live music events with Nashville artists. Camping & hiking. Instructional classes for handgun and long range shooting. Special Ops Xcursions started with 8 guests the first year and now hosts almost 1000 program participants per year.
What We Do
We offer active duty Special Operations Forces (SOF) service members a chance to partner with professional guides & volunteers in the general public for endless opportunities in the outdoors. Through small group excursions, friendships are established that will last for years to come. A daily limit or full tag are just a bonus to the experience. A weekend away pre or post deployment is crucial to team and family well being. The outdoors can be a powerful healer.
We honor the heroes you do not see on the nightly news. These are the Warriors working behind the scenes, men who lack the time and resources to go on a trip of a lifetime, the men we show how much their country still cares.

HOW WE OPERATE
“Our role is to act as the facilitator, bringing together local volunteers, outfitters, and professional guides who generously donate their time to provide no-cost outdoor adventures for active duty Special Operators and their families. The program manages the process of building the event, covering lodging and travel, and providing loaner gear to make the adventure as easy as possible.”
